General |
- Do the sets include everything I need?
Yes, all the sets are supplied with what is shown in the pictures. - Do I need cable track?
This is option and not a requirement. The main advantage of installing the cable track with the cable displays is flexibility to change the position of the displays at a later date, without the need to drill new holes in the floor and ceiling. - What length are the cables?
Each cable kit comes with 4 metre of cable and the top and bottom fittings. - Do you sell cable display parts separately?

Cable Display Posters |
- How easy is it to change the paper inside the poster holders?
Our cable display system uses easy access poster holders, which allows the ppaper to be changed from the top and sides. - What is the difference between small and large grips?
The grip is the fitting that attaches the acrylic poster holder onto the cable. Small or large grips can be used for A5, A4 & A3 poster holder sizes. This choice is mainly a personal preference. The small grips are lower cost, but more fiddly to install. Many people prefer the aesthetic style of the large grips. Large grips fits all sizes including A2 & A1. - Can I mix different size poster holders?
You can have separate columns of different poster sizes. You can also mix two paper sizes within a single column if you choose landscape of one size and portrait of the size above (example: A4 landscape can fit with A3 portrait). - Can the posters be used for portrait and landscape?
No, portrait and landscape are different poster holders. They cannot be rotated 90 degrees to be used as the other orientation. - How easy is it to change the size of the poster holders?
If you wish to change the size of the poster holders (example: a column of A4 portrait to a column of A3 portrait), the cable positions would need to change. This means drilling new holes in the floor and ceiling for the new positions and covering the old holes. This is where installing cable track becomes most useful. If you think that you will need to change poster sizes, then installing cable track from the beginning will save you the need to drill new holes and cover old ones. If the cable display system is installed into the cable track, all you will need to do is loosen the top and bottom fittings, slide them to the new positions and re-tighten them. Much easier! |
Cable Display Shelves |
- How much weight can cable display shelves take?
Cable display shelves should only be used for light to medium weight display. It should not be used to stack products onto them. The amount of weight is very much determined by how well the cables kits are installed into the ceiling. |
Installation |
- Can the cables be installed into a suspended ceiling?
No ,the cable kits should not be installed directly into the suspended ceiling. They should be installed into the real ceiling and a very small hole drilled through the suspended ceiling for the cable itself to pass through. Alternatively, a timber beam can be built onto the ceiling structure, for the cable kits to fix to. Please consult your installer or builder for this type of work. - Can the cables be installed into a window frame?
Yes. If the frame is made from wood, no additional items are required. The cable kits come with screws and wall plugs to fit into wood or concrete. If the frame is metal, you will need different screws than the ones provided in the cable kits. - Can I hang the cables horizontally, one wall to the opposite wall?
No, the cables are not designed to be used horizontally. - What tools are needed for installing a cable display system?
You will need a drill, screw driver and wire cutter (often found on a pair of pliers). - Do I need professional help to install the cable display system?
No, the installation process is fairly simple and you can do it yourself. The cable display system is not that complicated to install. People with a good level of DIY skill should be able to install it. |
